Tree of Life – Mustard Tree

Mustard Tree Cafe

We Hungry decided to take a casual stroll through Lilydale yesterday and stumbled upon this little gem, known as the Mustard Tree. This little café is big at heart, giving back to the community with every purchase made. If tMustard Tree Cafehe thought of helping those in need doesn’t brighten your day then its retro style décor will be sure to place a smile on your face, and the best part is that all of the decorations are resourced from used products. Not only does this space serve as a quirky little café but it’s also an expansive op-shop, with some great treasures to stumble upon! From Antiques to Dress-ups and Books, this op-shop has it all priding itself on bringing loved items back to life and back into trend. Our favourite part of this experience was of course the custom made signs, no words needed, simply let your imagination take you cruising down Route 66 in a HudsoMustard Tree Cafen Hornet…ahh the vibes it provides!

If you’re ever heading out to the Yarra Valley, do yourself a favour and take a quick de-tour to check this little gem out! Grab a coffee and explore this blast from the past.

Best to give it a Google as it’s hard to find, but I guess all good things are….

The most important thing about this beautiful place, is definitely what they give back to those who may struggle in the Lilydale area. Especially on Tuesdays when they open they’re doors to those who are in need of a feed, by offering a free open house service.

Not to mention the lovely staff who all volunteer, it really shows how inspirational it is to find people who are more than willing to give back to their community!

On behalf of We Hungry, thanks for having us!

We cannot wait to go back another time soon.
